yes, i know, i know. i haven’t been on tumblr in a while. so much so that i missed this post from my first friend in middle school, kawehi.
she and i met in mr. cooper’s social studies class (red team!), and i introduced her to a couple of my friends (who would turn out to become her best friends). even though we’re not the best of friends, we share a lot in common (love of adventure, stubbornness, no-frills attitude), and we met up (all by the stroke of chance and facebook) while she was touring in nyc last month. we had a blast, and i’d like to thank paul and brian for putting up with us as we talked our way through 10 years of life in a couple short hours.
she’ll be back in the city next week, and i’m excited to see her perform (hopefully!) and visit alewife queens.
After some well needed two days of rest, I picked up a bagel and coffee and headed for Central Park - the weather was lovely and I intended on soaking in as much of New York as I could. This was, after all, to be my last night in NY. After a stroll in the park, we walked all the way from the park…

One of my best friends from middle-through-high school started a blog to connect Star Trek with real life. And, I have found her thoughts to be insightful, thought-provoking and a wonderful reminder to take time to think about life.
I enjoy all of her posts despite not ever watching an episode of Star Trek, but this one is my favorite thus far.
nice integration of hawaiian legend israel kamakawiwo’ole’s ‘somewhere over the rainbow’. represent!
Milkman - Rap Music Is Beneath Me
